Re: IMS/DB on MVS 3.8J

Well, those days I had contact to Volker and we found that it's no problem to get a DBDGEN or PSBGEN running, BUT .. when you start your program using that generated PSB, it crashes.

Some control blocks, which are included as part of a DBD / PSB generation, differ between MVT and MVS. At program runtime you get version conflicts that ends with crashes in most of the times.

One should have ALL IMS sources available to recompile the whole IMS to avoid this.
