I "TOTALLY", no pun intended, agree with TOTAL being the better of the two. We ran it on an NCR Mainframe for about 3 years before switching it over to IBM MVS for another couple of years before switching to their new database SUPRA. Wish I had a copy. Also had a package with IMS that we converted to TOTAL... Good stuff.... Along with their 3rd generation language MANTIS. Mike -----Original Message----- From: Andreas F. IBM made some good software and some other. From my experience with IMS this product is very near the top in the 'other' category. First, IMS was always highly release-dependent and secondly I doubt whether IBM ever had a clean version, a set of source libraries with all PTFs integrated. At that time (70's) TOTAL by CINCOM was a bestseller. Is there anyone who has a copy of this jewel or knows someone who might have or be able to get it released into the public domain ? Andreas F.
