avoiding 100% buffah shortages

hey all,

can't Ron setup a shadow file on his spool disk?

that way, if he gets into a 100% buffah full situation, he can shutdown 
MVS and tell herc to waste the shadow file, and then the next time he 
IPLs his spool will revert to "as if the 100% situation never happened"

yes?  non?  maybe?

i've never setup a shadow file on a spool disk before, but methinks if 
that works it solves the "re-IPL into a 100% (buffer/spool)" situation. 
  of course he'd lose all other output but it would solve the problem.
