251 tso sessions running KICKS workloads on Phil's tk3upd (beta)! Sub-second response time accessing shared vsam files. All on an old P4 laptop. KooKbooK recipe to follow, but here's the MF1 view with everyone logged on and running, and my response time stats (http://home.gci.net/~mike-noel/KICKS/251/kicks-251.htm). Starting with the pile of 3270's Phil gen into the nuc, I added 3270's to the hercules.conf, then to vtamlst. I added lots of tso userid's. Then I configured the vtam buffer pools, and (over a few days) ramped up. On the way I needed to expand csa and add page, swap, and spool space. Spent quite a while getting a handle on vtam buffer pool traces. North of 250 lurk more issues, but I'm stopping here. Amazing what a $100 laptop can do...
