Keep in mind that the sort work files are 2314 packs, which are low capacity when compared to moderm pack. (max blksize is about 7k, max cylinders is 200). You may want to try allocating as many sortwkxx as you can. Tape sort work is also an option. I ending creating more sort work volumes for a total of 8. I believe Turnkey is gen'd with a maximum of 32 2314 drives. --- In [email protected], "Small" <suhrrog2002@...> wrote: > > Has anyone attempted to sort SMF records using the MVT sort utility? > I have some trouble doing this, so I wonder if this old sort program is too limited to handle the large records. > > Any advice would be appreciated. > > Thanks > Roger >
