This is fixed with wine-6.10 and wine-mono 6.2.0. I tested a PDF Eraser version
from around the time this bug was filed. 'winetricks -q mfc42' is needed.

$ sha1sum pdferaser.exe 
7efe5a34a5fc4c9ebf159942fdd19fbf21949697  pdferaser.exe

$ du -sh pdferaser.exe 
6.1M    pdferaser.exe
