Without the first WINE developers in the free WINE tree showing that DirectX is doable in WINE it might not have happened. Of course the amount of man power required to implement Direct3D is probably not have been available in the free tree. The man power for DirectX in 2D however definitely was there. Also counting LOCs does not really help, since several restructures did happen in the meantime where almost all of the code got moved around. The whole point is in my mind mood, history and unnecessary. Fact just is, that after TG started with DirectX enhancements DirectX no longer happens in the WineHQ tree. <sarcasm>Because if you need it, the code is just over there in SF CVS. It is not free, but who cares anyway.</sarcasm> Way better would have been if you only gave out binaries after subscription and not give this fake pretense of OpenSource. Ciao, Marcus
