The name change is certainly a good move if this is done.

Which is certainly their right. But if they do that, they have never stated
"debian" specifically, it would most certainly be a blanket clause.

No, because the average user hasn't the slightest clue as to how to compile
things properly, and in their case the OpenGL headers have be setup a certain
way to be able to compile it properly. Of course distributions like Gentoo get
around this problem quite nicely, they just download the source package using a
script, then configure, compile, and install it for the user :)

Let's say for a moment that the source code for Codeweaver's crossover plugin
was available on their site, right next to the download of the demo. How do you
think codeweavers would feel if you started binary packaging it in debian, what
incentive/reason would people have to buy crossover plugin? Very little, other
than goodwill, which as we've seen in the past is far from enough to support
Linux companies. I've played that game, I poured many hard earned dollars into
supporting small Linux companies by buying their products, but all for naught
because it was mostly goodwill that they depended on, and that's just not
enough. (e.g: Loki, others)

Where is *all* of the codeweaver's code for crossover plugin, or crossover
office? I think i've heard echoes of people saying "oh it'll be merged in
later", hrm...gee sounds like another company, only Codeweavers isn't "evil".

Then people say, oh it's in (they point to) -> winehq.com, and I say oh really?
So I can compile that and instantly be able to do anything crossover office or
crossover plugin can? To which they reply, "no it's not all there yet" so what
are we really debating here...hrm?
