Ok, let me put it this way, it meets "sourceforge" an "open source"
development site's terms anyway. Technically it doesn't meet full OSI
requirements.

But, there are other projects out there are under the aladdin free public
license, and they are certainly still considered open source projects, for
example Ghostscript...
