Hmm, when Alexandre first proposed the switch to something (L)GPL like,
you stated that as a company cw was neutral and you personally were
slightly in favour of it. Nothing more. Nothing indicated that you were
or might have influenced him on this move. Now, with your comment above,
I'm not so sure any more.

And this rest of the sentence makes me wonder how to read/interpret the
first half of the sentence.

I found out that "pro" means "instead of" (as in proconsul). Now I know
what proactive means.
