Well, I can give you a couple of reasons:

First I have been able to merge all the LGPL code from Crossover
Office (approx. 700Kb of diffs); this couldn't have been merged into
an X11 tree.

Second, all the dll separation and related stuff that I did can be
directly traced to the license change. It's stuff that needed doing
for a long time, but it's not the most exciting thing to do and I
simply couldn't find the motivation anymore to do it under an X11
license, for all the reasons I have already explained.

Given that there is no evidence whatsoever that the LGPL has caused
harm (and no, Transgaming hasn't stopped contributing as you seem to
think, they have submitted some patches since the change), I think
it's a reasonable conclusion to say that 3 months after the change the
LGPL has already helped Wine a good deal. No it's not a mathematical
proof, so feel free to continue denying it if that makes you happy.
