When I said that I have the a feeling there have been more patches the last year than the year before I wasn't refering to work you you have done (yourself or merged from Crosover Office). But, yes, I have notice you have made more patches yourself. I just have a feeling that a lot more people post patches occationly and in greater numbers. However I had this feeling the months before the license change as well. But yes obvious people in favour of the LGPL is more likely to post patches, but that is not a very intresting conclusion. It is rather obvious isn't it? > Given that there is no evidence whatsoever that the LGPL has caused > harm (and no, Transgaming hasn't stopped contributing as you seem to > think, they have submitted some patches since the change), I haven't checked but are you sure this was really Transgaming patches not just patches from people happing to work at Transgaming? I any case I have a distinct feeling that that are much fewer and further in between. > I think > it's a reasonable conclusion to say that 3 months after the change the > LGPL has already helped Wine a good deal. No it's not a mathematical > proof, so feel free to continue denying it if that makes you happy. As I said above I don't count what you or Codeweaver have done because of the license change since you proposed it and support it so it kind of obvious that it might have effected you. As for what others (except Transgaming) have done I have seen little difference that are likely to be because of the license change. However what worries me most is not that have happend but what might not have happend because the license change. That is the prime reason I'm against it.
