I think most people doesn't care given that most people have
given permission to Rewind to use their code.

It is irrelevant since they (or rather believe/hope) they a business
model benefit or at least are not hurt by the LGPL.

So obviously they have not been scared away.

The question is have other people been scared away?

Casual contributor doesn't seem to care for reasons given above.

So with the exception of Transgaming not much information exist
to draw any conclusion so that is why I reject the idea that
any conclusion whether the LGPL is a short time or long time
good currently can be determined.

No I'm worried about new companies that are willing to invest in Wine.
Casual patch contributor are not likely to care about the license.

If you wish to continue to believe that the LGPL is a good idea,
based on inconclusive evidence, fine by me.
