I think it would be very hard. Because TG already started having a HUGE codebase available for free. If it had to program everything from scratch it would probably bee too expensive for the budget of a company like TG. But you are right in one thing. What stopped DirectX development was the trust placed on TG. If the free coders would have just ignored TG promises and continued coding DirectX there would be no problem now. So maybe the mistake was also on the WineProject. Lesson: never trust a company(or anyone). Roland
