Nobody has started doing any independent coding on ReWind, but since we haven't really tried to get anyone to do so either (and Eric prefers to keep discussions on wine-devel and wine-license rather than creating a rewind-devel list), that doesn't concern me too much yet. Right now I'm mainly interested in getting as many of the existing Wine contributors to give ReWind permission to use their code. If anyone would like to work mainly on ReWind instead of Wine, then by all means, go ahead, but I expect most people to continue working on Wine (which is perfectly okay, as all we ask is that they allow their patches to make it into the X11 tree when possible). I've begun the process of asking individual Wine contributors whether we have permission. The current list is at http://www.ping.uio.no/~ovehk/rewind/contrib-list.cgi It's interesting to note that though Wine still have many contributors that have not announced a license preference (so the data is incomplete), there are *nobody* yet in the "my-patches-are-LGPL-so-there" category, except for CodeWeavers employees (which I've put in a separate category). I expect some to end up there eventually (and the shortage of "big names" in the "my-patches-are-MIT/X11" category doesn't help), but right now, it looks like we might be on our way to having a majority of the non-CodeWeavers developers on the X11 side.
