You are wrong here. I agree that the main problem with rebooting is losing 
all the context. With a 386 maybe the booting took longer, but you didn't 
have that much context to save. With the 386 you would have just one 
application running. So shutting it down and restarting is probably less of 
a pain than when you have 30+ windows open.
