We can only and exclusively use the icons listed at
http://www.microsoft.com/mscorp/ip/trademarks/logoprog.asp
and none of them are good. No plain windows icon is available.  
I'm going to email the Microsoft Intellectual Property and Licensing Group, but
chances are they won't give us a license to use the win icon.
