AFAIK the laws on protecting confidential information and copyright are
different. You're copying something, and don't have permission to do so. The
fact that there is no technical protection doesn't mean anything. Nothing stops
you from copying text from a book without a written or oral permission from he
author, but it is illegal. I would think that the same is true for downloading
IE. I won't believe you can do this, until you do, Microsoft sues you, and you win.
