Hi Martin, Adding the local.rules file did fix the permissions problem but unfortunately the result is the same. I think maybe the programmer application software uses a proprietary driver. I had a similar problem with a different unit that uses USB and had to abandon it. It seems easier to make the parallel port work rather than USB but I don't do that type of programming. Any other ideas?
