deinstall wine first to install wine-devel (via macports) ?

Hello all,

if I wanted to try MacPort's 'wine-devel' instead of 'normal' Wine, would I have to deinstall and clean Wine first and then do a 'sudo port install wine-devel' ?

And would I also have to delete all of Wine's former folders ?

Sorry if this is a noob question.
