CVS 4/1/2004 update breaks Diablo II Lords of Destruction

I thought I would bring this to someones attention.

One or more updates to the cvs on 04/01/2004 has broken Diablo II Lords 
of Destruction.

Normally when I start Diablo II I can just left click the mouse and 
bypass the splash screens.  There are two of them.  Then I can left 
click and get to the menu structure.

Including the 4/1/2004 cvs updates removes the ability to use the 
mouse.  I can still press escape.  I do see the first two splash 
screens.  I never see the 3rd screen which will lead to the menu 
structure.  The screen just stays black after the second splash screen.

I am new to this list and if this is inappropriate then accept my apology.
