Bit of a chicken and egg game here unfortunately. It doesn't work for 
FreeBSD, hence no one puts effort into it hence it doesn't magically fix 
itself. The unfortunately law of things.

Point2Play is the official graphical frontend for WineX and Cedega. It 
wouldn't solve any problem of CVS not compiling as you've noted.
