difference in COM support in wine/rewind?

Hello,

I am wondering what exactly are the differences of the COM support 
between wine and rewind? As far as I can understand there has been lots 
of COM work (related to InstallShield Installers) in the rewind/winex 
tree in the past.

The reason I ask is that I am trying to run several applications (at 
work) under wine that makes heavy use of (outproc) COM and they don't 
seem to work ok with regular wine at this moment.

Does it make sense to try the application with the rewind tree instead 
(in order to see if it works ok there)?
