The missing DirectX

I got WineX from CVS (current)
When I run OpenGL games,they run flawlessly ... perfect
However,DirectX is not even detected ...
Hmmm what am I doing wrong?
Games say:
You need at least DirectX 7 to run this game (Project IGI)
DirectInput8 not found,no compartible input devices will be used (Project Eden)
Also I installed Red Alert 2 and at the begining it said :
The current version of DirectX needs to be updated to 4.07 in order to play red Alert.
Current version: 4.05
It looks like the games detect that I have DirectX 5 hmmmm?
I am using RedHat 8 with a Ati Radeon 9000Pro (Gigabyte with latest firegl 8800).Wine is configured to use an exiting Win98 Se install (DirectX 9).
This DirectX error also occurs when running wine without windows.
