When I send stuff with Enigmail, then check it, if the message has
attachments, Enigmail says that the signature verification is failing.
I believe this is a bug in Enigmail (it probably leaves the attachments
out of the verification, but some of them were included in the hash
value that it used for the signature), though I haven't looked into it
all that closely.

I bet the message that you just sent was able to verify correctly,
right?  It had no attachments.
