Actualy not.
I compile it with this script:

#!/bin/bash
export CFLAGS="-O6 -march=athlon-xp -mcpu=athlon-xp -mfpmath=sse
-fno-strict-aliasing"
./configure --prefix=/opt/wine/ --enable-opengl --enable-sdldrv && make
depend && make

I am running debian sid with libc 2.3.1

If there is any info you can find usefull, just ask.
