Hi,
Thanks for the info.

I copied the dir from my win2k laptop install. Copied stdold32.tbl and
msvcp60.dll into c:\windows\system (on my WINE install) to get it to start.

It is quite anoying though, does this occur when playing the game from
the release version? It is worse because the mouse pointer is not
visible, and if the assert is over the windowed game I can not see where
I'm meant to be clicking. Also as the keyboard input doesnt work, I
can't tab to it. So I have to partially obsure the window with my
shell, then move the mouse over it and just a few pixels right, onto
where the Ingore button is...
This Assert must be anoying other people too

ok, i tried 3.10, using elmerfudd's download/build script (Get310WineX):
Installing launcher script ...
Packing sourcetree...
All done ... CVS installed
Installed as: winex310
Config path : <homedir>/.winex310
[now3d@now1g now3d]$
Unfortunatly, same problem, no keyboard input.
Despite what it says above, it appears to use my normal .wine dir if I
do not try and start it using winex310 BF1942.exe. Perhaps this is
desired though.

Are UTF-8 locales unsupported?
Best regards
