Welcome.

Rather than adding another gateway to the XP box, you can
do this to add a route (for example a box on the 192.168.0.0/24
network)
Start-Run-CMD
at the command prompt type:
route -p add 192.168.1.0 MASK 255.255.255.0 192.168.0.1

You can create a logon script, or simply save the previous line
to a text file and call it 'update.bat'
Email that file to each PC and then double-click on it to execute.

Adjust the command to reflect the other network and then do the
same on their side.
