Re: CIPE server for 100's of CIPE links?

no OpenSSL? I have checked the precompiled binary of CIPE anncounced in the 
OpenWRT forum 
(http://openwrt.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1049&sid=c3f82798bf0bece008650dbbce528b9a). 
First thing to look for is the depends (see 
http://openwrt.alphacore.net/Packages) - it lists libssl (which normally 
means you have to install 1.2 Mb of openssl.

If CIPE does not use that openssl lib, I'am happy to give it a try because 
of the very small footprint you mention :)

Sorry, don´t know already, still preparing,
i´ll get the first router this late afternoon.

Why openssl ? As far as I know CIPE doesn´t need it.

I believe one of the major reasons to use CIPE on this kind of boxes _is_ 
low flashmem consumption.

My standard (production-, on LinuxPC-) configfile with comments & key is 
about 1K, on PC the kernel mod is 34k, the executable is 80k. That´s 10 
times less than OpenVPN uses (see below).

Here´s a list of the precompiled bin modules i already found @

For Cipe:

My openvpn (test-)config (On PC) without comments & required clients certs

If i won´t get it running properly up to Sunday, I will try to get openvpn 
(which needs openssl) running on this box.
