cipe on WINDOWS XP SP2

I have installed a driver on 
notebook that have sp2 preinstalled
but i cannot see the "Local area connection"

i try the suggest find in:

http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.encryption.cipe/2228

i can only ping the server.

Have you any suggest?


In another laptop with SP1 work fine!!
