This is one of the most annoying things.

I hacked this in once a long time ago, and lost the hack. (Along with my ot=
her=20
foreground hacks to facilitate use in inittab, which I re-created). You ca=
n=20
pick this up in syslog with the 'New Peer' entry. The syslog entry is=20
generated by the *kernel module*, not the ciped-cb process, the latter call=
s=20
the cipe up script. There was something difficult about this, and frankly =
I=20
don't remember what I did. If I get bored one day I may look at it again,=
=20
but I want to figure out openVPN, which I may replace CIPE with. There are=
 a=20
number of things about CIPE I like though, in particular the way I've got i=
t=20
foregrounded and using inittab. It makes it trivial to bring a tunnel up a=
nd=20
down.
