Then I need to play sysadmin on it... it's not so much a problem of getting 
access to *a* system, somewhere, it's that all of the usual test machines I 
use have transparently turned themselves into 64-bit ones, so the de facto 
release-test environment became 64-bit only without any explicit plan to be so 
(they also mostly seem to have become Linux-only, sigh).  Now that I know 
there are (currently-unchecked) 32-bit dependencies I can make a 32-bit system 
part of the release mechanism.
