Oh, in that case it should be OK, although as you've found out the makefile
assumes it's running in a Unix-style shell for it to autoconfigure itself.
You'd be best off adding a new make target 'DOS' in the makefile in the "Other
OS Targets" section and doing an explicit 'make DOS', then you can add
whatever options you need directly.

The code may need other tweaks, as I mentioned it hasn't been built for that
for a looong time.
