It was quite a bit of work because your patches were broken (indentation changes, extra line breaks and diff structure corrupt). If your mailer does not handle mails correctly, you shold better put the output of git format-patch as an attachment to your mail. I also took the opportunity to clean up a few things and changed the log entries to the format used by GNU projects and described in doc/HACKING ;-).
