Hi,

the t-printf test fails on both powerpc and ppc64 (both big-endian):

t-printf: format "%.100Lf" with LDBL_MAX unexpectly did not fail
FAIL: t-printf

powerpc: https://buildd.debian.org/status/fetch.php?pkg=libgpg-error&arch=powerpc&ver=1.61-3&stamp=1787306766&raw=0
ppc64: https://buildd.debian.org/status/fetch.php?pkg=libgpg-error&arch=ppc64&ver=1.61-3&stamp=1787560268&raw=0

I think this might related to this gnulib issue:

- https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-gnulib/2025-07/msg00021.html

Could someone look into this, please?

I tried opening a bug report, but it's currently locked out due to AI scraping.

If anyone needs a machine for testing, there is cfarm121 in the GCC Compile Farm

https://gcc.gnu.org/wiki/CompileFarm

which runs Debian unstable on ppc64 (big-endian) which I am the administrator of.

Adrian
