Note on versioning: the new symbol is bound to a `GNUTLS_3_8_14` node in =
`libgnutls.map` (and `devel/symbols.last`) only because the linker versio=
n script requires a concrete version, and `master` is currently at 3.8.13=
=E2=80=94 so this is a **next-version placeholder**, not a request to ta=
rget a specific release. Please retarget the version node, the `symbols.l=
ast` entry, and the `Since: 3.8.14` doc tag to whatever release you inten=
d. I deliberately left `NEWS` untouched so you can add the entry under th=
e chosen release.
