Enable logging for the scdaemon.  Put the following into
~/.gnupg/scdaemon.log

verbose
debug ipc,cardio

Restart and have a look at the log.=20=20

This reched end-of-life so you better update to a current version.  See
repos.gnupg.org for Debian style packages.
