As the krb5-1.8 release announcement mentioned, the Kerberized remote
login and FTP applications (rlogin, rsh, rcp, telnet, telnetd, gssftp,
and gssftpd) have been unbundled into a separate distribution so that
they can follow an independent release cycle.  Since krb5-1.8 is the
first release not containing the applications, it is being released
together with krb5-appl-1.0.

krb5-appl-1.0 has been released, and is available in the same place as
krb5-1.8:
