I'm in a similar place:  Windows 7 32-bit.
OpenAFS 1.7.1 was already installed.
Uninstalled KFW and NIM
Installed Heimdal 1.5.1 for Windows and NIM 2.0.102.907. Rebooted.

When NIM starts it can't find modules for OpenAFS, MITkrb5 or MITkrb4


also an odd message from Heimdal client:

C:\Users\dboldt>kinit --version
kinit (Heimdal 1.5.100)
