As a counterpoint, I'm sticking with a (patched) 1.5.2 in production right now because it's working properly and the 1.6 Git snapshots in Debian are making me nervous. Given that 1.6.0 isn't out yet, I'm not sure that I'd recommend running 1.6, since that's basically telling people to run pre-releases in production, which is usually a bad idea.
