Hi all! You'll find a pre-release of OpenSC 0.17.0 on Github <https://github.com/OpenSC/OpenSC/releases/tag/0.17.0-rc1>. A draft version of the user visible changes is available in this ticket <https://github.com/OpenSC/OpenSC/issues/1062>. On Github you'll also find a general ticket for commenting the new release <https://github.com/OpenSC/OpenSC/issues/1055>. I've put together a wiki page <https://github.com/OpenSC/OpenSC/wiki/Smart-Card-Testing> on how to systematically test your card. Please extend the page with test results from your smar cards. If you think that some important usage of OpenSC is missing (I'm looking at you, pkcs15-init), feel free to extend the list of test cases. I'm planning the first of july as release date, so please be active in commenting and testing!
