It's an already initialized card by my employer, because the porting of the
old
driver was easily done I asked myself if the --test option is known to work
flawlessly.

I assume this is not the case, for example:

The binary only pkcs11 driver for the card segfaults with --test and
reports verify errors too,
but overall works, so obviously, for the functioning not all tests need to
pass.

Currently I'm stuck with the MD5-RSA-PKCS test. Here I need padding :

https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/linux-on-systems?topic=3Dcryptography-pkcs-1-ha=
sh-formats

(case MD5) how can I tell opensc that it should be done by opensc?
I assume it's some flags (eg: SC_ALGORITHM_RSA_HASH_MD5) but currently I
have no luck.

best regards,

Martin
