Mailing from the blog isn't a manual process, so the automated process is cutting it when sending posts to this list. I don't see any reason not to put the entire blog post into the email, though. (Ok, one reason is that the blog can be edited and it's probably not a good idea to send out every typo fix. It's not a big reason though.
