----- Forwarded message from Jon Callas <[email protected]> ----- From: Jon Callas <[email protected]> Date: Thu, 12 Aug 2004 16:22:51 -0700 To: [email protected] Subject: [PGP-USERS] Keyserver futures Reply-To: [email protected] Some time ago, I wrote an email to this list talking about some ideas about a new keyserver that improves upon the previous generation of keyservers. The discussion that went on here was very useful to us. Since then, we have created a new keyserver that we're calling the PGP Global Directory. It is compatible with the old keyserver system, but also allows users to manage their own keys, even if they have forgotten their passphrase. This new keyserver is going to go into beta test this fall. There will be a formal announcement of it later, but we would like you to know about it in advance.
