I think we figured that the pioctl wouldn't be accepted as implemented and that it would take more work to get the rest of the code in shape and accepted than we had resoures for. Maybe it would be good to use existing code in the kernel, such as FUSE or the caching infrastructure developed for kAFS. If you want to give it a try, go ahead. /t
