Just a quick note to say that when I worked on Solaris, we had quite a
few customers complain to us that UFS was being flaky or having weird
crashes... when they had the same disk mounted on two systems.  I
wouldn't describe these customers as "newbies."  They simply tried
something that seemed to make sense, and it worked and didn't spit out
any error messages or warnings (for the first few months, at least).
