I've created an updated patchset (as discussed on the ext4 concall) with improved checking for the extents format, as well as improved checking for corrupted indirect/index blocks. In addition, there are a bunch of cleanups to e2fsprogs that I have already submitted to Ted. The quilt patch series is based against the vanilla 1.39 (so it has a fixed point of reference when applying). The first patch in the series is the changes in Mercurial repository against the 1.39 tag, and will hopefully grow to encompass all of these patches. These patches (along with some other Lustre-specific ones not yet destined for upstream e2fsprogs) are available at: ftp://ftp.lustre.org/pub/lustre/other/e2fsprogs/testing/e2fsprogs-1.39-patches.tgz patches/series # this list of files patches/e2fsprogs-1.39-WIP.patch # patches upstream repository since 1.39 patches/e2fsprogs-fixrpm.patch # more fixes to buildrpm script patches/e2fsprogs-rdonlygen.patch # make auto-generated files read-only patches/e2fsprogs-inode_size.patch # allow inode-size as a mke2fs default patches/e2fsprogs-inode_prealloc.patch # blocks can preallocate to PAGE_SIZE patches/e2fsprogs-test_diff.patch # make test diff using -u flag patches/e2fsprogs-extents.patch # initial 32-bit extents support patches/e2fsprogs-extents_visible.patch # make extents visible via lsattr patches/e2fsprogs-extents_htree.patch # allow htree directories as extents patches/e2fsprogs-eacheck.patch # verify in-inode EAs, checksums patches/e2fsprogs-inuse_force.patch # added safety for mke2fs on in-use fs patches/e2fsprogs-findsuper.patch # enhance the findsuper tool patches/e2fsprogs-swab64.patch # add swab64 method f_extents/image.gz # gzipped extents test fs for e2fsck # NOTE: do not gunzip when installing Cheers, Andreas -- Andreas Dilger Principal Software Engineer Cluster File Systems, Inc. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
