1. Mingming worked on patches to fork ext4/jbd2 filesystem are done and
survived tiobench and fsx test. Plan to post the patch to lkml shortly

2. Rebased extents and 48 bit patches to against ext4/jbd2 filesystem
rather than ext3/jbd, almost done.

3. A new mailing list that is focused on the discussion of the ext4
development is discussed during the call. It will be hosted on vger and
hopefully to resolve the latency issue we found with ext2-devel on
sourceforge. The plan is use that one as the primary list for ext4/3/2
developers in the long run. Ted Tso will announce the list shortly
after find out the way to auto archive and redirect traffic from ext2-
devel to the new list.

4. Andreas Dilger posted a series patches for extents support. Eric
merged them with existing e2fsprogs changes from BULL, and break the
extents patch into small patches.Ted is trying to merge those patches to
upstream.

5. More effort should put on testing the larger fs(8TB and beyond) with
the new ext4 patches soon.

6. Eric Sandeen asked about the preallocation feature, whether it's on
the list of planned feature to add. Have reached agreement about how to
support preallocation with extent in the past. The user space interface
for preallocation is not decided yet-- choices are fcntl, fadvise, ioctl
and ftruncate. Need to discuss this more.

Thanks,
Mingming
