Tom Dopirak Joins Council of Elders

August 29, 2006: The OpenAFS Council of Elders is pleased to announce that Tom Dopirak (Carnegie Mellon University) has accepted an invitation to join the Council as the Treasurer and as an Elder. Tom is the Director of Infrastructure Services Applications and Middleware for Computing Services at Carnegie Mellon University. Tom has worked with AFS for many years in his role at CMU. Before coming to Carnegie Mellon, Tom held various technical positions in the Computer Industry for over 13 years, and he was a Technology Architect for Alcoa. Tom joins the other members of the OpenAFS Council of Elders: Russ Allbery, Jeffrey Altman, Harald Barth, Derrick Brashear, Todd DeSantis, Jim Rees, Jeffrey Schiller, Laura Stentz, and Warren Yenson.
