The OpenAFS Gatekeepers announce the availability of OpenAFS
version 1.5.10.  Source files and available binaries can be
accessed via the web at:

     http://www.openafs.org/release/openafs-1.5.10.html

or via AFS at:

Release 1.5.10 of OpenAFS is the ten in a series of development
builds for UNIX leading up to the 1.6 stable release series.

For Microsoft Windows users, 1.5.10 is the new recommended
release.

1.5.10 includes the following changes for Microsoft Windows post 1.4.2:

# MIT KFW Network Identity Manager Plug-in
# Support for 64-bit Large Files
# Support for 64-bit Windows XP/2003/R2
# Support for Windows Vista
# Implements Windows Byte Range Locking backed by AFS File Server Locks
# Implements Inline Bulk Status RPCs which speeds up directory listings
# Uses GetCapabilities RPCs to probe the server status
# Logs fs crypt state to the Windows Event Log
# Supports DebugOutputString debugging of the RX Library
# New command: fs uuid [-generate]
# Improved CIFS protocol capatibility
# Hard Dead and Connection Timeout values restricted to the CIFS Session
  Timeout value.
# Improve handling of Windows Standby/Hibernate modes when network
  access is not available
